Variohm Holdings Group acquires Herga

Herga, based in Bury St. Edmunds, was established over 60 years ago and has developed a comprehensive range of electric and pneumatic actuated foot and hand switching controls that meet a wide range of international approvals including IEC/UL 60601. With extensive manufacturing facilities including plastics moulding and electrical assembly, the Company has also pioneered switching systems using infra-red and Bluetooth technology.

With some 50 per cent of its range exported and with many OEM partners for custom-designed switches, Herga will bring additional product and manufacturing synergy to the Variohm Holdings Group which includes sensor, measurement and motion control divisions though Variohm EuroSensor, Ixthus Instrumentation and Heason Technology. Variohm has represented Herga products over several years and helped to establish a German subsidiary company to handle its large business base in that important market area.
