Vibration transmitter in high grade stainless steel housings

With its robust design, stainless steel housing, high IP69K rating and maximum temperature of 125degC, the VTV122 sensor from ifm electronic is suitable for use in harsh environments on rotating machinery with speeds above 600rpm.

The VTV122 vibration transmitter monitors plant and machinery to the ISO 10816 standard. This industry standard uses overall vibration velocity to evaluate the condition of a machine. The occurrence of potential damage can be detected at an early stage. The sensor measures the true rms velocity, and these values are trans-mitted as an analogue signal (4"20mA) directly to the PLC.

Common vibration problems such as loose footings, imbalance, and misalignment cause unnecessary downtime and loss of valuable production. This can easily be avoided by using the VTV122. Like all products from ifm electronic, the VTV122 comes with a 5-year warranty.

For a guaranteed reliable performance, ifm electronic recommends the EVT range of M12 connector, also rated at IP69K and designed to maintain the seal in the harshest of environments. No further accessories are needed, as the loop-powered VTV122 bolts onto the equipment and is ready to go.
