Video demonstrates power and ease of use of 2D/3D laser scanners

Micro-Epsilon has produced a short video featuring its scanCONTROL 2D/3D laser profile scanners; this video shows very clearly how these sophisticated scanners are powerful, versatile and easy to use for product inspection and process verification applications.

According to Micro-Epsilon, scanCONTROL laser scanners are among the highest performing profile sensors in the world in terms of both accuracy and measuring rate. Pre-programmed scanners are available for applications requiring common measurements, or there are models that can be programmed by system integrators to match the needs of particular applications. To illustrate the versatility of the scanCONTRL laser scanners, the video above shows a variety of different objects being inspected using a robot-guided scanCONTROL scanner: electrical connectors, weld beads, a piece of wood with knots and splits, and rivets in aluminium.
