WEBER SYSTEMS takes over production of axial flow motors

WEBER-HYDRAULIK is taking over the axial flow motor production of Miba. With this strategic decision, the company is strengthening its position as a system supplier and specifically expanding its value creation depth in the future field of electrified drive technologies.

WEBER SYSTEMS takes over production of axial flow motors

Axial flux motors impress with their disc-shaped design, high torque density, efficiency, and flexible integration options. They are particularly useful where space-saving, powerful, and precise electric drives are required - ideal conditions for use in industry, robotics, modern mobility, oil and water pumps, fan and air conditioning technology, and flat actuators.

WEBER-HYDRAULIK took over the production of axial flow motors from Miba. This move enables the company to secure supplies for ongoing projects while strengthening its expertise in the field of electric drive technologies.

"By taking over axial flux motor production, we are not only ensuring security of supply for ongoing projects, but also laying the foundation for future applications in both the automotive and industrial sectors," explains Yannick Weber, who joined the group as Technical Director in 2023. "The integration of axial flow motor production will enable us to fully control the quality and further development of this key component in-house in the future."

The relocation of machinery and equipment to the Austrian site in Losenstein has already been completed. The complete takeover of production was finalized on schedule by the end of November 2025. In addition to the technical equipment, specialized personnel from Miba AG were also taken on in order to secure valuable know-how and experience.

"We see this acquisition as a great opportunity to further develop our product portfolio and strengthen our competitiveness," adds managing partner Christine Grotz.

The next step will be to evaluate and systematically expand further target markets and applications for axial flow motor technology.

With this acquisition, the group of companies with locations in Germany, Austria, and Poland is setting another milestone on its path to actively shaping its transformation from a component supplier to a system supplier.
