Webinar explores creating OEM-standard bodywork seams

The latest innovations in sealing technology make it possible for any body shop to replicate seams that are as good as new. In a webinar on the subject on 10 November 2022, Henkel will give delegates the benefits of its wide expertise.

Seam sealing technology is important as a seam that matches the performance of the OEM original provides the best protection again corrosion and the ingress of moisture and dirt, ensuring the vehicle will continue withstand harsh driving and environmental conditions. A high quality seam also provides the best possible foundation for a high quality paint finish.

Over many years, Henkel has worked closely with OEMs in vehicle design, manufacture and the aftermarket to develop products that maximise vehicle reliability. Indeed, many of its LOCTITE and TEROSON products are OEM approved and its methods recommended in ongoing vehicle care.

The 60-minute presentation will cover the function of seam sealing technology and its interior and exterior applications. The Henkel experts will explain the science behind the technology and the testing processes that are applied. Delegates will also be introduced to the different types of sealing adhesives available and the respective merits of physical and chemical curing.
