Croft Filters is promoting its recently launched Witches' Hat Strainers that use multiple layers of wire cloth to form a uniform structure, resulting in a maximised flow area for reduced resistance and reliable operation.
The filter's structure provides increased strength and rigidity, making it a robust option in softening, desalination, water filtration and water pre-treatment systems, as well as less demanding industrial water supply and oil fine filtration equipment.
Witches' Hat Strainers, also known as commissioning strainers or temporary strainers, are primarily used to remove suspended solids from water, oil and adhesive resins, and can be manufactured in a variety of materials, sizes - with apertures ranging from as small as a few microns - and in either in-to-out or out-to-in configurations. When space is restricted, the cone can be truncated to create a Top Hat Filter.
