WLAN wireless module embraces external antennae

Compact machines, mobile robots, automated transport systems all can be equipped with a WLAN interface

WLAN wireless module embraces external antennae

The new WLAN 1010 and WLAN 2010 industrial WLAN wireless modules from Phoenix Contact enable users to “easily equip compact machines, mobile robots or automated transport systems with a WLAN interface”, says the company.

Unlike the ‘all in one’ WLAN modules, WLAN 1100 and WLAN 2100, the new WLAN modules in the device series enable the connection of external antennas. This means that both the antenna type and its position can be adapted to the relevant requirements.

All WLAN modules in the WLAN 1000 and 2000 series feature reliable WLAN communication and fast roaming. A new REST API can be used to configure and control the modules with the controller or a PC.
