Red Pitaya shares acquired by Instrumentation Technologies

Red Pitaya, the company that is developing low-cost, open-source, reconfigurable instrumentation with its credit-card-sized STEMlab platform, has announced that all the outstanding shares in the company have been acquired by Instrumentation Technologies, a leader in cutting-edge instrumentation, primarily servicing the accelerator beam diagnostics market. Red Pitaya will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Instrumentation Technologies and will retain different identity as it serves very different market sectors.

HIMA appoints Fabio Lodigiani as Group VP Safety Services

HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH has appointed Fabio Lodigiani as head of the Safety Services business segment. As Group Vice President Safety Services, Fabio Lodigiani manages and coordinates the company's worldwide service activities. HIMA's lifecycle management and services are concentrated in the newly positioned Safety Services business segment. The aim is to further expand the services portfolio by structural and staff upgrades, enhance the clarity of external communications, and develop innovative services. Fabio Lodigiani reports directly to Sankar Ramakrishnan, CEO of the HIMA group.

ESAB partners with PGS for CP7 gas equipment inspector training

ESAB is entering into a partnering with Proactive Gas Safety Ltd (PGS) for the provision of Oxy-Fuel CP7 Inspector courses, with successful candidates being awarded a nationally accredited EAL (Excellence in Achievement LTD) Level 3 QCF Qualification (Qualifications and Credit Framework) This is the highest level of achievement available for compressed gas safety training in the UK and qualifies individuals to undertake annual inspections of oxy-acetylene/propane equipment as required by BCGA CP7 (British Compressed Gases Association Code of Practice 7).
