Discontinued servo motor range still available from new supplier

Motor Technology has been appointed by ICPE to provide sales, service and support for its popular ACM2n range of servo motors following news that some suppliers have either discontinued it or are phasing it out slowly. Motor Technology will now provide the full catalogue range of products, with exactly the same electrical and mechanical specifications, dimensions and options that were previously available from other suppliers.

igus: tried and tested products on display at Offshore Europe

Offshore Europe returns to Aberdeen this year from the 5th-8th of September during which igus will showcase its vast range of offshore products. On the stand (5A21), igus will be exhibiting its giant cable carrier; primarily developed for demanding applications on offshore oil-drilling platforms the carrier can withstand exposure to ice, wind, storms, salt water, oil and drilling mud.

Harting MICA certified for "˜Microsoft Azure for IoT'

Harting's MICA industrial computer system has been certified as meeting the requirements of Microsoft's "˜Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT' programme. Microsoft's certification process places certain demands on end devices which work with Microsoft Azure services. As a result, MICA has gone through a series of tests provided by Microsoft in order to evaluate the functionality of the hardware. The results have been validated by Microsoft, meaning that MICA meets the requirements of the programme.
