FLIR expands distribution for machine vision cameras in Italy

FLIR Systems Inc. is announcing that VisionLink srl will become FLIR's first authorized machine vision distributor in Italy and will begin selling FLIR's lineup of FLIR USB3 Vision and FLIR GigE Vision area scan cameras.

Panduit to exhibit at Husum Wind 2017 Exhibition

Panduit Europe Ltd will be exhibiting at Husum Wind 2017 Exhibition from 12th to 15th September in Husum on Stand 5B35. At the trade fair for the wind industry, Panduit will be showcasing its new PES 400 Portable Embossing System, the PAT 4.0 Automatic Cable Tie Installation System and Wire harness products and the battery powered BlackFin Power and Grounding Installation Tools that lead the industry in safety and reliability. Nexperia sponsors University Robotics & AI team

Nexperia is announcing it is to be the main industry sponsor for the University of Twente's RoboTeam, a multidisciplinary student group that aspires to innovate in both robotics and artificial intelligence. One channel that the team is using to achieve this ambition is by competing in RoboCup 2017, the world championship of robot soccer in Japan (July 25-31). www.robocup.org. RoboTeam Twente will participate in the Small Size League, which focuses mainly on artificial intelligence.

New update for official guide to the Machinery Directive

On 19 July 2017 the European Commission published Edition 2.1 of The Guide to the Application of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. This Update covers amendments made to the Machinery Directive by the Directive 2009/127/EC on Pesticide Equipment and the Regulation (EU) No 167/2013 on the approval and market surveillance of agricultural and forestry vehicles (tractors). In addition, there is new guidance on 'partly completed machinery' and 'assemblies', and clarifications and corrections have been inserted relating to the following concepts:
