New 30deg beam angle SMD LEDs project light further

OMC is introducing a new range of narrow angle, surface-mount LEDs in a variety of package styles and all popular LED wavelengths. The new SMD emitter series features integrated lenses moulded into the package which provides a 30 degree output beam. Applications for visible wavelengths include signalling and indication, in which the beam needs to be visible over greater distances, while the company's infrared wavelength versions are used for sensing and data-communication over greater distances and with higher precision than using standard, wide-angle SMD components.

IDS unveils 10 GigE uEye FX high-speed camera with PoE

At VISION 2018 IDS will launch the GigE vision-supported uEye FX industrial camera that optimally makes use of modern sensors in terms of high resolution, fast frame rates and high bit depth. The GigE vision-supported uEye FX can be easily integrated into existing infrastructures and, at the same time, provides great flexibility when it comes to available bandwidth. The maximum speed of the camera is 10 GigE, which is guaranteed up to 50m cable length. Depending on the existing or required infrastructure, the camera automatically adapts its transmission speed to the bandwidths of 5GigE, 2.5GigE or 1GigE (100m maximum cable length possible).

New laser distance sensors with sub-micrometre accuracy

Baumer is launching high-performance OM70 laser point and laser line distance sensors that combine high-precision measurement technology and easy handling for automation applications. OM70 sensors provide very high measuring accuracy, resolution up to 0.7um, measuring distances up to 1500mm, linear deviations up to +/-0.06 per cent in laser-point or laser-line versions.
