Nord increases capacity for production of Nordac Link

Nord manufactures all quality-relevant components in its own facilities. At the beginning of the 1980s, Nord started to produce electronic drive technology in Aurich, Lower Saxony. Over the years, the range of inverters, motor starters and electronics was continually expanded and now includes electronic drive technology up to 160kW. The production location has also been continually extended. Nord Electronic Drivesystems GmbH now employs 130 people and produces more than 100,000 units per year in an area of 5000m2.

Configure wear-resistant gear wheels with igus online tool

igus has launched a new online configurator that enables engineers to configure gear wheels in just one minute. Once ordered via the web shop, the gear wheels are 3D printed from iglidur I6 material for quick dispatch. Characterised by a wear resistance of at least six times that of standard materials, the iglidur i6 material is well-suited for printing wear resistant parts, such as gears, offering a particularly long service life.

SATO UK has invested over £1 million in new state-of-the-art production capabilities at its recently opened Harwich site. Incorporated in to the company's 35,000ft2 manufacturing and warehousing facility on the east coast, SATO has recently installed Mark Andy Performance Series P3 and P5 6-colour presses to support the company's expansion in both fully printed and plain labels. SATO offers a comprehensive labels portfolio to complement its printer hardware range, as well as its DataLase laser marking business.

PTC and Rockwell Automation announce strategic partnership

PTC Inc and Rockwell Automation have entered into a definitive agreement for a strategic partnership that is expected to accelerate growth for both companies and enable them to be the partner of choice for customers around the world who want to transform their physical operations with digital technology. As part of the partnership, Rockwell Automation will make a $1 billion equity investment in PTC, representing an approximate 8.4 per cent ownership interest in PTC, and Rockwell Automation's Chairman and CEO, Blake Moret, will join PTC's board of directors effective with the closing of the equity transaction.
