Protective laminates for printed labels

Phoenix Contact's marking material portfolio now includes labels with protective laminate against external influences. The laminate is adhered to the printing surface after the printed base label has been attached. This will protect the marking against external influences.

Frameless motors for high-performance motion control

Recently launched by Allied Motion Inc and available with full support from Mclennan, new KinetiMax HPD series outer rotor brushless motors deliver a high torque-to-weight ratio and excellent efficiency as a compact and frameless rotor/stator part-set. Available in six frame sizes, from 62 to 125mm outer diameter - each with three standard stack lengths for optimal performance matching - the high power density motors offer a smooth, low-cogging and continuously rated torque from 0.24 to 6.7Nm with power output up to 1170W.

Lubricator e-kit simplifies maintenance of electric motors

An efficient and economical lubrication concept includes not only the choice of a suitable lubricant but also the provision for relubrication. Schaeffler has developed an e-kit specifically for electric motors, being suitable for use with the company's automatic CONCEPT2 lubricator. This can independently supply up to two lubrication points with lubricant.

igus develops smart plastics app for Fanuc Field system

Fanuc's open industrial IoT platform, known as the Field system, evaluates data from machines and systems centrally. It connects production machines of all manufacturers by means of a local network topology, enabling comprehensive data analysis of the entire process line. In this infrastructure, apps from Fanuc and from third-party suppliers are used. Now igus has developed a smart plastics app for the new system. The app can be used by maintenance personnel to monitor the condition of igus components - for example, energy chains and cables - and plan maintenance in good time.

Omron is launching the sixth wave of its factory automation control devices built on a common design platform for further innovation in control panel building. The new products include 237 models in six categories low voltage switch gear: J7KC, J7TC, J7MC, J7KCA and J7KCR series low voltage switching gears (LVSG), S8V-CP series DC electronic circuit protectors, and PTF-XX-PU socket for LY relays with Push-In Plus technology.

Parasolid introduces Convergent Modeling on mixed models

The latest version of Parasolid software is now available from Siemens Digital Industries Software. The updates to Parasolid include enhancements to Convergent Modeling technology, which can now operate on models containing a mix of facet B-rep surfaces and classic B-rep surfaces, helping to enable more efficient work flows in a wide range of applications.

The new CBMC ... S-R-C multi-channel electronic circuit breakers from Phoenix Contact can be ordered directly in versions that are tailored specifically to the system. In addition, the integrated status output and reset input allow the device status to be monitored remotely and tripped channels to be switched on again.

New programmable sensor connection and data processing hubs

Sick is extending its Sensor Integration Machine (SIM) family with the launch of two high-performance, one-box, processing hubs that combine decentralised, multi-sensor co-operation with field-to-cloud connectivity as part of Industry 4.0. The Sick SIM1000 and SIM2000 Sensor Integration Machines are programmable sensor connection and data processing hubs that create new possibilities for developing custom applications in Sick's AppSpace ecosystem. With up to four Ethernet ports, they support interfaces for cameras, lighting, LiDAR scanners, encoders, photoelectric and displacement sensors, as well as to higher-level controls and to the Cloud.
